The right training program is central to that goal, and EMS has it. We continue to implement and modify our training strategies and procedures to meet and exceed the needs of our company and those of the industry, to build a workforce where none existed, and to do it with safety excellence second to none.
From new employees with little or no background in the wind industry, to experienced wind turbine technicians, project managers and supervisors, we implement training programs that are tailored to fit all levels.

Safety Training
Safety is at the heart of everything we do at Energy Maintenance Service. Our safety program is widely recognized as the Gold Standard in the industry. To bring that core value into practice, no employee goes into the field until they have completed a full week of safety training, which includes our best-in-class fall protection and tower rescue/emergency descent training delivered by the best team of safety trainers in the wind industry. In addition, every employee completes the OSHA 10 hour course, First-Aid and CPR, as well as training in various other topics as part of their EMS orientation.
Because our training program is always evolving and striving for the highest level of excellence, EMS ensures that all of our employees receive refresher training on a recurring basis to ensure that the proper techniques and safety practices are being implemented correctly in the field. Simply stated, safety comes first in both principle and practice at EMS, and our safety training program is central to this culture.

EMS is committed to building the most technically-skilled, innovative, and experienced workforce in the industry. This commitment is evidenced by a technical training program that is second to none. We invest heavily in our employees and our training programs to ensure that our workforce is fully-equipped to safely and efficiently solve problems in the field. That translates to the highest level of availability and performance for higher customer satisfaction.
Our technical training program includes advanced level modules in wind turbine operations, D/C and A/C electrical theory, mechanical systems repair (gear boxes, generators, motors, etc), blades/composites, hydraulics, electrical repair, electronics, power generation & distribution, instrumentation and control (I&C), and much more. We also implement a comprehensive and formalized on-the-job training program designed to progress our employees through three levels of proficiency.
It is our goal to provide our employees with as many opportunities for advanced training as possible to help them realize their career aspirations.
