Job Description: Operations and Maintenance (O&M) technician is responsible for the safe, environmentally responsible and cost effective operation of the wind facility. Reset, troubleshoot and repair stopped wind turbines. Perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance as directed by the site supervisor. Troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems, repair or replace defective components, record parts consumption, document maintenance activities utilizing computerized maintenance management software.
Location: Palm Springs, California area
Qualifications and requirements:
Two years of wind industry O&M experience required
High School Graduate or Equivalent required
GE certification and training preferred.
Experience with GE wind turbines preferred
Post-High School technical training preferred
Must be able to understand and follow technical manuals and drawings
Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
Must be able to climb 262 ft ladders multiple times per day without assistance
Must be able to work at heights and in close quarters
Must be able to work in high desert temperatures
Must be able to work weekends and holidays
Must possess effective communication skills
